About the Series
The Perennials is a limited series of 100 sculptural landmarks
weaving storytelling, climate consciousness, and social infrastructure
into a singular global work that shapes a lasting cultural legacy.
Each placement is realized in collaboration with visionary curators and the communities they serve, whose stewardship shapes where and how this cultural legacy takes root.

Each is a site-specific, hand-painted, solar-powered artwork,
crafted from recycled plastics, and conceived in dialogue with its environment.
The Perennials inaugural installation at Downtown Largo, Greater DC Area.
Prince George's County, Maryland.
Commissioned by Prince George’s Arts & Humanities Council (PGAHC) in partnership with WMATA Metro Art in Transit.
Each Perennial is a self-sustaining solar-powered sculpture, imbued with colorful lighting, wireless charging, and QR-linked storytelling that connects all Perennials worldwide.
Richer interactivity, such as real time sensors, publicly controlled lighting, audio, live video exchanges between sites, or other smart city enhancements, may be commissioned for each location.

Origins of the Series
The Perennials were born from resilience, conceived in the wake of Hurricane Maria’s impact on Puerto Rico. Carrying the spirit of windborne seeds, each self sustaining, serviceable sculpture is a singular chapter within an exclusive series of one hundred works, an exceptional commission that transcends borders, endures through time, and stands as both landmark and message in an ambitious global work of art.
