Hidden within the folds of the cloak lies the presence of a queen, awaiting the moment to emerge and bid her final, captivating farewells. Through 3D mapping and animation, the cloak undergoes a wondrous transformation, transmuting the concealed queen into a goddess of the seas - a symphony of magnetism and boundless energy, where the ocean's depths stir by her very essence. The Miss Universe Puerto Rico pageant was broadcast Live via Wapa TV from Centro de Bellas Artes Luis A. Ferré. The theme of the pageant was bioluminescence in the cyan and fuchsia color schemes. Acrobats from Subcielo performed the piece. The chosen score was “Crystallize” by the masterful and vibrant violinist Lindsey Stirling The Opening was followed by Carlos Vives performing Live.

Immerse yourself in the prominently cyan and fuchsia tones of the ethereal realm of this surreal underwater wonderland. This is one of three pieces I was commissioned to create by Wapa Tv's Creative Producer Anibal Fernandez for the Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2023 Pageant.

The Perennial was awarded at CES 2020 by New Voices, CTA, and CES. Holding two patents and made from recycled plastics, it is a stand alone solar powered interactive art sculpture. Inspired by the devastations suffered in Puerto Rico due to their calamitous long term blackout after Hurricane María, it’s a relevant, ambitious project and proposal about sustainability, clean energy, climate diaspora.
